Aren't they cute!

I think he needs one of his own! What do you think? I think it would make a great Christmas announcement, don't you Courtney??

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at Connelly's again this year with family and friends. It was a day of laughter and tears as Mike was with us in spirit this year. Here is the picture of the "Whip Cream Party."

Cody didn't want to do it, but then later we caught him in the laundry room with Aunt Julie, but I missed the kodak moment. However, Drew got to participate and I caught that! However, Cody did do it later and I got to get a picture.

Thomas the Train

I took Cody to ride Thomas the Train on Sunday at Crossroads Village in Flint. He had a blast! We had a 40 minute ride on Thomas the Train, got to meet Bob the Builder and Sir Topham Hatt, went through a straw maze, played with Thomas the Train sets, colored, stamped, got tatoos and even got to see farm animals! We could've spent and entire day there. Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Morrison went with us. We dropped them and Drew off at Great-Grandma's sister Theresa's and they spent the day there while we were gone. Below Drew is pictured with Aunt Theresa's daughter Jenni.

Fair

Cody riding India, riding the camel, and riding Junior.

Well last week was fair week. Cody would get up at 7:00 am and say "I'm ready to go to the fair!" He would have lived there if I would have let him. He rode rides, rode horses, and a camel! However the highlight of his week was Friday when he got to help Bailey and Jesse Albright sell their animals. He got to go in the auction ring with them and hold their trophies for them. He even got to walk Bailey's sheep all by himself!

Sunday, August 5

Today we went to Binder Park Zoo with my parents. My mom and I had both won tickets on the radio. Cody fed the giraffe's, goats, rode on the new carousel, the tram to Africa and the train, and got to pet all kinds of reptiles, including a very large snake much to his father's dismay! Cody loved it! My mom and I were the only ones brave enough to go into the reptile display room, however I stood back quite a bit! Drew pretty much slept through most of it.

2 month check up

Well, I took Drew in for his 2 month check-up. Doctor Pradhan said he looks great! He is now in the average range instead of the 95%ile. He weighs 13 pounds, 24 inches long and his head circumfrence is 15 1/4 inches. He received 3 shots and one oral vaccine. He loved the stuff he had to drink. I think he was just hungry so he was willing to take anything. He didn't cry too bad for the shots. The first two weren't bad at all, but the third one put him over the edge! He screamed! Although, once she took the needle out and put his bandaid on he was fine. What a trooper!

Visit to the dentist

Cody went with me to the dentist today. I just wanted him to sit in the chair and see what they did to me to get him used to it.

She started counting his teeth and poked at them a little and he said it didn't hurt, so she kept going.By the time we left, we both had had our teeth cleaned! She said he was an excellent patient especially since he had never even been into the office with me before! So, we are good to go for another six months!

Swimming Lessons

Well, Cody has begun swimming lessons. This is his fourth year taking them, second year getting in without Mommy. He is doing really well. He is starting to use his arms and legs to swim and he loves jumping off the diving board as you can see. Last year he wasn't too sure about it, but this year I can't hardly keep him out of the water!

New Bedrooms

Well I finally got Drew's room done and more done in Cody's room. All that is left in Cody's room is the bedding which I will be ordering this week and Aunt Jackie is making his curtains. it will be nice to have everything done! Drew slept in his crib for the first time last night (7-15) and did really well. He went to bed at 11:00 pm and didn't get up until 4:00am. After eating he went back to bed and didn't get up until 8:30 am.

Fourth of July

We went to Courtney's parents and watched Coldwater Lake's fireworks on Saturday night. We had a perfect view. Cody also did some sparklers. Drew slept through the entire show.

We went to Union City on Wednesday night and watched fireworks with my parents and Mike and Alice Crenshaw. Drew was awake the etire time and actually watched the fireworks. It was fun watching his eyes follow them and he even smiled a couple times. I think he liked them. Then he slept throught the night too!

On the Fourth of July we had a pig roast here with both of our families. The kids had fun swimming and playing on the slip 'n slide. After the party we moved Cody's bed upstairs and he slept up there for the first time. He only came down about 5 times before he finally fell asleep.

On Saturday, July 7th we went to Larry and Cathy Reichhart's for their annual Fourth of July party. Cody was a little fish. I couldn't keep him out of their pond. I think we were in the water for about 3 hours. When it got dark the guys put on their annual fireworks display and the kids did sparklers. It was lots of fun!

Brother's

Aunt Courtney and Uncle Brandon got the boys matching outfits so they wore them to church and RJ's open house. Don't they just look adorable?

I wanna be like Mike!

Alli's fiance Mike has his hair spiked a little bit on top, but Alli cut his hair. How dare she do that! Mike came to church that weekend with no spike and Cody would not talk to him because he didn't like his hair. Anyways, Cody took a bath that night and when he came out of the bathroom he said "I look like Mike!"

Aunt Judy's visit

On Monday, June 25th, Cody, Drew and I took Grandpa and Grandma to pick up Aunt Judy from the airport. Both kids traveled really well. Grandpa and Cody sat in the way back of the van and talked the entire way there. Aunt Judy was very excited to see both the boys. Drew knows her as the one who feeds him everytime she holds him! We had lots of fun while she was here.

We had a picnic at Heritage park with some of Grandma's borther's and sister's and their families. My mom's cousin and her family were visiting from Sweeden as well.

We also had a cookout at Alli's new house with both our family and Uncle Kim's family.

Friday, June 22nd

Well, Drew is up to 11 pounds and 23" long! Too bad I don't feed him at all! I think he will pass his brother at this rate. Cody wasn't 11 pounds until he was 12 weeks old. I think I better get out the 3-6 months clothes and get them washed. The sleeper he is wearing in this picture is a little small already!

Thursday, May 21st

Well, this is how I found the kids one morning. I had propped Drew up on the pillow so I could brush my teeth and when I came out of our bathroom, Cody had appeared and wanted to lay by his brother!

We go back to the doctor tomorrow for Drew's one month appointment. I got on the scales with him last week and there was almost a 10 pound difference! Too bad I don't feed him! :)

Thursday, April 26th

Well, here is what I am looking like right now. About 3 1/2 weeks left to go. I still feel great, just a little tired! The doctor said everything looks good and he is head down.

Sunday, April 22nd

Uncle Josh, Aunt Denise, Abbi and Gage got Cody squirt guns for his birthday so since it was so nice out Sunday he and Daddy had a fight. Of course, Cody was all about squirting his dad and I, but didn't really appreciate it when we squirted him!

Happy Birthday!

Well, we had Cody's birthday party on Saturday night. It was beautiful weather and we could be outside. He had a lot of fun and got lots of cool stuff. It is hard to believe he will be 4 years old on Monday already! He got up really early that day and we went to two soccer games and a baseball game, but that still didn't wear him out enough to take a nap before his party. Considering all, he was very good!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Tonight we colored Easter Eggs. I'm not sure who had more fun, Daddy or Cody! They colored 3 dozen eggs in no time. They even

used a wax crayon to write on some of them.
I took Cody to see the Easter Bunny today in Ft. Wayne. He was all excited to get there, but when we got there he wanted nothing to do with him. He wouldn't even sit on my lap next to the Easter Bunny! So I guess, no pictures with the Easter Bunny this year! Maybe next year with his brother.

Easter at Drews Place

Thursday, April 5th Paula took all the daycare kids to Drews Place to go on an Easter egg hunt. Each kid got to find 5 eggs and then they each got an Easter Basket filled with goodies! It was lots of fun and all the grandma's and grandpa's liked seeing and helping the children. This is the same place the kids went Christmas Caroling back in December.

Tuesday, April 3rd

Today was a beautiful day outside. Grandpa and Cody went fishing at the cabin for a couple hours and Mommy read a magazine. They caught a bunch of fish, but Cody decided he didn't want to keep them after all and dumped the bucket back in the lake!
